What is
IKO-O?

IKO-O – an Individual Orthopaedic Offloading Sandal, designed in accordance with foot anatomy and biomechanics, enabling full and comprehensive function of orthopaedic and offloading insoles.

IKO-O ensures continuity of orthopodological management by enabling the use of orthopaedic and offloading insoles in home conditions, outdoor environments (including the spring–summer period), and in clinical situations where the use of closed footwear is contraindicated or not possible.
IKO-O is an original solution developed by the PODOLOGIA.pl team, based on clinical experience and collaboration with medical professionals and podiatry specialists.

What distinguishes IKO-O?

  • Anatomical footbed – integration with individual therapy
Provides physiological foot positioning, stable rearfoot support, midfoot control, and anatomical alignment of the hallux and toes.
  • Sole enabling corrective modifications
Allows individual modifications within the sole, including the use of rockers to support gait rollover, limb length compensation, and corrective wedges (supinating or pronating).
  • Adjustable upper – fit and stability
A two-strap buckle system allows precise adjustment to different foot widths and deformities, ensuring stabilization and maintenance of the intended therapeutic position.

Indications for IKO-O
In combination with offloading insoles (PWO15), IKO-O supports targeted management of overload-related conditions (hyperkeratosis, cracked heels, piezogenic papules), nail plate growth disorders, skin conditions, and wound or irritation healing.
In combination with individual orthopaedic insoles (IWO), IKO-O supports therapy of lower limb deformities and dysfunctions, gait and biomechanical disorders, structural deformities, foot pain syndromes, and limb length discrepancies. IKO-O – a medical device fitted exclusively by qualified Specialists.
